QUICK Question

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Throatcream, Sep 2, 2011.

  1. I have a cabnet that is about 2 1/2 feet wide and i was pondering my options as a grow medium. I was wondering if i could use a rectagular tubleware to cover the whole bottom and fit maybe 2-3 plants in there. I will be using feminized seeds so mixing male and female wont be a problem and also was wondering how deep it should go? Any advise on this is very welcome, Thank you GC!

  2. Hmm any pics poss? And I've heard ppl mixing 20% ffof and happy frog, with 10% more sand and the rest of the soil consisting of perlite etc. But im using ffof soil and thru the seedling and most of the veg state I used no nutes but she came hard like mike tysons daughter

  3. If you use tupperware just make sure its not a clear material (roots don't like light). Other than that, you shouldn't have a problem as long as each plant's root system doesn't turn into one tangled mess.

  4. NO, you need to get some individual pots. Putting multiple plants in the same pot is never a good idea.
tupperware that is deep enough, cost too much, and a waste as a pot.

Most nurseries will GIVE you pots. start in 1 gal, go up to 2-3 gal for finishing.

get a decent organic soil, FF is fine.

  5. Maybe individual pots are the way to go but i also have a pc grow that will also be happening. for that ill no doubt need to lst but if i used tupperware for that i would have much more space. do you think even 2 plants would be a bad idea at opposite ends? Also ill be using a lowryder strain that is also autoflowering apparently and im using FFoF. I plan on doing a journal for both of these with my seedlings arrive and i get everything up and going.

  6. the root systems get pretty large but if you can keep them at least like 18" apart and from the sides it shouldn't be that big of a problem.. but if you get unlucky they can tangle and either get root bound or kill one or both of the plants.. the bigger you let them get the more likely it will happen. you will want the container to be as deep as possible, most grow in 5 gal buckets for a plant < 5ft tall so keep that depth in mind. separate containers would save you some soil and make it much easier to move them around.
