First let me say .... I just ordered 10 nirv seeds from doc chronic. The strand is bb x nl. The yield says 550/600 . This is my first time grow and i've made the box myself. The box is 2.5ft x 2.5ft x 5ft tall. It is totally light proof, intake and exhaust fans as well as 1 fan blowing lightly down towards where the plant will be. Im using a dripp system that I got from general hydroponics. The system is a single bucket. The light I got is a 250watt hps and a 250watt mh for the veg. The walls of the box are all mylar and everything seems to be done right. Now heres the question! To hit maximum yeild under a 250watt light in these conditions would you grow 2 plants or just one. Maximum yield while having a potent plant is my goal and that is why I chose a strand crossed with Big Bud. Also, will the 1 bucket system from general hydroponics be big enough to grow 2 full size plants out of. ? The bucket looks to be a few gallons. Any help / comments would be great. -skimp
hey man I am a new grower myself but for what its worth Your setup sounds very solid. What is the CFM of your fans? Some people say hydroponic growing is harder then organic growing so its better to first gain some experience by growing organic first. But i'm not saying you wont make it. You will have to pay more attention to details
I also use a 250... two plants will work.. One will once you know how to train it. Id start with two for your first grow. Your plants will want to be very tall but remember the 250 will only penetrate about 1 1/2 -2 feet. Id train them and keep them low. Try to keep your canopy even that will make yeild better.. gluck buddy
