Hi, I just started my first grow and both pots are under their lights. I have two questions. First off, should I use plastic wrap to keep the moisture in (Seems to me like it could melt)?Secondly I watered the soil before putting the seeds in, but if it gets dry in the next few days could I add a little water? Thanks!
You really don't need any lights until your seedlings break ground, but it is useful in keeping your planting medium warmer (depending on the lights) and it does reduce stretching. If you are using CFLs then just keep them several inches above the plastic bags. You definitely need the plastic bags to keep in moisture because it is not good to water seeds that are trying to germinate.
