So I finally got the GH pH buffers with test kit, and my tap water has a pH of 8. I did a really heavy watering a couple of days ago without knowing/adjusting this, and my plant is starting to show a nitrogen deficiency, I'm assuming due to the higher pH, as nitrogen starts becoming less available around 8. My soil is still slightly damp at the surface, so my question is, is it okay to water sooner than I normally would in order to correct the pH and give a dose of nutrients to get my plant healthy again, or do I run the risk of root rot from watering too soon once?
I have a quick q how do u have root rot what does it look like Sent from my SM-G530T using Grasscity Forum mobile app
You can really only see root rot with hydroponic systems I think. The roots wills be brownish and actually smell like they're rotting, I just don't know how often the roots need to dry out to receive oxygen, hence my apprehension in watering my plant too soon. I might just go with light foliar feeds until my next water to give small doses of nutrients. Will that keep N deficiency at bay anyone?
