I am planning to grow a white widow plant. I bought a 150W HPS light for vegative and flowering phases, but what light should i use when i first put my seed in for growth. I heard that the HPS light will be too strong. I have a lamp in my room that has a 75W light bulb.....can i use this for the first week and then switch to the HPS?
Is it a 75 watt incandescent? I use a 70W cfl light during the 1st couple of weeks and switch to the HPS when it's a little bigger. It's cheap and fits my desk lamp.
If it makes any difference as soon as I sprout my seeds.. I throw them into a rockwool cube and put them under a 400 mh .. and they love it.. I don't see how a 150 hps would be too much for them..
