Quick question about topping my plant - pics

  1. Hey, my Easy Ryder is at about 27 days from seed - had some slow growth problems early on but since fixed and growth is quick. I am asking if I should top my plant now or wait for more leafsets to grow?

  2. I'd give it another two nodes before topping. I usually do the 4th to 5th leaf set and it works wonders.

  3. Take my advice and do not top a lowryder or easyryder, or any type of auto flowering plant for that matter. Their life span is so short that they don't have time to recover from being topped. Basically if you top an easyryder you are basically cutting off your main cola, and in a sense cutting off about 1/2 of your harvest. You should only really top a plant that you can give time to veg.

Basically byt the time they are really tall enough to be topped flowering has already begun. They won't really veg a whole lot more past that point so you are only going to either stress her to hell, or at the very least cut down your already small harvest.

Plus you generally top a plant to keep her short and bushy, easyryders are already short and bushy. You top her and you'll take a 20 inch plant down to 10 inch. I jsut can't think of any reason to justify it.

  4. their way to small to top.im shocked their almost a month old.they looks like 2 wk old seedlings.did u overwater em?

i agree dont top those kind of strains.their specifically disigned to have one small main cola.you top indica or sativas

  5. No I originally pulled the rapidrooter that had root growth out of my hydroton and roots were broken and its growth was stunted bad.... its picked back up now just a little behind schedule - will the plant fill out to its full capacity still because of the stunted growth, it might just take longer then the 7 weeks from seed?

Edit* Also - for an autoflower plant when do i start adding flower nutes? when buds actually start to form?

  6. How often should I add nutes to the resevoir? Every week?
