Goal: To grow 1 or 2plants i have a approx 5ft tall box by 11 ft long(VERY rough estimate, have no measured it yet lol) intake n outttake fans LU600/SUPER 600W HPS Lamp Mogul Base Clear - ProLighting.com would this be suffice? or shuld i just get some CFL's i've been reading but not sure which would be better for just a simple grow like mine. i want a decent yield but not trying for lbs lol maybe an ounce or 2. any info would be appreciated!
Your suspicions are correct....for two plants CFLs are exactly what you need.... rule of thumb 100W (actual no equiv) for one plant add another 50w for each addition and your set... you'll only need like 8 bulbs sounds like a lot but the one HID in that small a space would be to hot without a cool tube and a lot more complicated things then you would want to get into for just 2 plants.
