quick light cycle question regarding cfls

Discussion in 'Micro Grows' started by treehustler, Oct 14, 2011.

  1. Im running two 13 watt daylight cfls and one 23 watt soft white cfl over my seedling. I know I need to get higher watt lights but of course because im broke right now I have to wait. Because of this low wattage should I run the lights at 24/0? I feel like if I turn the lights off for six hours at night then they definitely wont be getting enough. Thanks for the info!

  2. I don't think that extra six hours makes much difference, but it won't hurt any either if you do it. Can you give them any sunlight?

  3. Sounds good. I can give it sunlight for a good five hours a day should I leave them outside when they can get sunlight and then keep it in the box at night?

  4. some people do say that shifting between sunlight and artificial lights causes unwanted stress to the plants. just saying.

  5. you can get bulbs that work for cheap at lowes / home depot

  6. I'd just run 18/6 and just use 23w and move it closer...I sprout several seeds at a time under a single 26w...just keep it close.

  7. Word thanks for input ill move it closer and try and get lights when I can
