So I been researching and thought it could be mag def. but i was also seeing that it could be fungus? Any ideas?

Can you elaborate on your grow? What is the media you are growing in? What are the nutrients you are using? What is the pH of the solution you are feeding? What is the runoff's pH or slurry test pH? What is the EC going in and coming out? I don't think this is related to magnesium.

  3. Happy 420 my friend.
I am using fox farm ocean forest soil. FF tiger bloom. Some kangaroots. And cal mag. The ph i was feeding was was 6.0. But the runoff was 5.7. I believe it was. It was pretty low in my opinion. So I ended up flushing and getting it to 6.0. And my last 3 waters. The water ph is at 6.5. I didn’t test the run off that time. Completely forgot. The slurry test I did about 2 3 days ago. The ppm came out to 334. So I fed. What is the EC?

  4. EC is another way to relate ppm; sometimes ppm is not the same depending on the meter used, whereas EC is translatable between instruments; complicated bs. Its ok, your ppm is in order. I think you need to raise your pH even higher bro. I just got a similar lockout but in coco where my runoff got too acidic. I am in coco, so runoff 6.0 is a good spot, but you want your pH a little higher I believe, like 6.3 in your soil mix. I don't grow in FF, but from what I read in other people's threads, some aim for 6.5.
You did a flush? This should have helped. I flushed mine yesterday using 12L of tap + FloraKleen (1.25mL/L) and then fed with another 4L nutrients (ppm ~350) at pH 6.5. Today I fed at 6.7 and still have a 5.7 runoff. I will continue to feed at 6.7 now for that plant.

  5. Awesome. Thanks for the info. I will try and get the ph higher then. You think it would hurt if I spray some water on the leaves. Ph watered about a teaspoon of baking soda in a quart?

  6. I don't like to spray anything during flowering, but I've done it before without too many problems. Can get light burns that way though, or introduce moist areas that can harbor spores and molds, you don't want. Note though that some specialty foliar sprays have beneficial claims.
    here's a chart for you

you can understand why people run at higher pH levels using this chart.

  7. are you doing this to protect from mildew?

  8. Well more or less just in case it is fungus. I read somewhere that that helps. Maybe try it on one leaf to see if it works?

  9. No, its not fungus, at least not mildew. If there was a problem, I already suggested good measures. There is no sign of mildew on your plant leaves, and the kind of mold (ie. botrytis) you want to avoid is by moisture getting trapped, or the plants getting too weak to defend, and of course air quality. I would avoid spraying anything on your plants.

  10. btw, the solution I used to feed my plant climbed to 7.04-7.09 overnight. I expect this because it takes time for the carbonate to react. I used this to feed my plant. My runoff was 5.90-5.92. Again, I suggest increasing the system pH.

  11. I watered them yesterday. With ph water at about 6.7. And the run off was just at 6.0.
But this is how they look now.

  12. Usually burns like that are from phosphorus or calcium deficiency. A pH runoff of 6.0 is too low for your media, but I could be wrong. Might want to increase calmag + bloom nutes a bit. You know, @Papa Puff, if you are not too busy, can you suggest something for this fellow running FoxFarm products?

  13. I has similar issue it’s either a ph or a Calmag deficiency, you should water next time adding more Calmag and see how they react, also I think you should maybe re calculate your nutes.

I am only a very newbie so it’s just a opinion.

  14. I was Capt fox here for years. I always needed cal mag. My water is 550 ppm's and has a bunch in it. Especially in flower I saw the problems. Run off in soil is misleading. I would do slurries. Or if u are in the market for a pH meter. I would get one of these Blu lab soil meters. Just got word u can do feeds and water to. So u can check ur soils pH. Will also need a EC meter. 15. If in soil do a slurry test. Take a large shot glass of soil. Dig down a little. Than put that into a Tupperware small container. Than put the equal amount of distilled water. Stir for 1 minute and than stick ur ph meter than ur ppm meter. This will show u what's going on! So if ppms are over 400 u just need water and microbes if u use them. Under 400 ppm feed

  16. I spray optic Foilar Overgrow and Monterey BT outside during flower. But I live in the warmest driest place in the USA

  18. Awesome. Thanks a bunch. I will invest in one of those blu labs. So with the slurry test. How deep in the soil would i have to go? Do I have to worry about damaging roots? Must be distilled water? And let’s say I gave them nutes and 4 days later I do a slurry test and it comes lower than 400. Do I nute again? Or just give it water. I’m sorry for so many questions. Lol
