Quick cloning question.. Think its too wet

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by TrynaLearn, Apr 14, 2016.

  1. It's day 9 and I have no roots on the 21 cuttings. I pulled two out to see what's going on and the rapid rooters were dripping. I took the cuttings out of rooted and the bottom half of stem was just all mushy and flattened.

If I keep kid off and let rooters dry out with roots still pop or will I need to cut up a few inches in each and try over or are they garbage? I only have one other mother plant and can't get anymore in time for the outside season so losing these takes half my crop so really hoping I can find a way to make root

A couple were also just main branches coming off bottomg of stem so I've heard those thicker older grown branches don't root very well but the other half are 3 to 4 inch fresh vegetation cuttings.

  2. Hi defo too wet. They shud be just miost love. I wood start again as if all mushy even if one rooted it may not be they best healthyist plant !! In future just use a spray bottle to miosten rooters and let humidity do rest. If too humid then open vents in lid or let a bit of air from side but wen i do my clones i only spray-mist root stim wayer ph^ed water too. I leave lid on and my t5 on top. only normally open my vents went about 5days and roots coming etc. Dont worry as better luck next time love. If ya take clines of ya mother now and keep em warm and just miost then they will be rooted in a week or so. I use a root hormone also which i dip my clones straight into wen cut. Do u? Every one as their own way love and good luck wi next clones love . Xxxx

  3. Definitely too moist if the rooters are dripping, not sure about cutting a couple inches off, I'd just throw soggy stem clones out and start again with healthy cuttings, never tried cutting the bad parts off though... Maybe experiment with it to see the outcome. Good luck

  4. I tried it just because I have a very limited supply to go outdoors will let you know if it works. Honestly I doubt it they look real shit and I've already basically taking off every leaf. Just not sure how they got too wet. I only did 4 or 5 sprays across

  5. Yes I dip into root tech gel and dip n grow liquid in two separate containers. Just not sure how they get so mushy and damaged from being too wet when my,buddy just puts his cuttings in a bucket of water and it takes longer up to a month but he always gets roots. Wouldn't that of essentially of been the same thing

  6. Yes love got a piont but i presume it is about conditions too. Plus ya used an additive whuch also can feed bad bacteria etc in ya rockwool if bad conditions love. Ya buddy.. does he use an hormone in his bucket? An hydro grow cud give ya better info than me but can onlly tell ya wat my experience is... i use siol jiffys in a propigater under t5 . I used clonex and cut with sterilized stuff off my own mother so i know good clones. I normally mist with water the just damp jiffys and get roots in approx 7 days. I av used rockwool too but not my preference.. i damped to rockwl in ph water wi the minutest bit of plant start food and clonex my cuttings. I like above musty once a day if needed to keep r.wool damp. Roots shoow in 7/10days. I keep lid on propgater and place t5 on top on either 20/4 or 18/6 depeding were my cutting are-bedroom or shed.. thats just prefernce as can leave lights on all time but like i said i use times to control heat and temp depending how cold room is etc.. i av 72-75^ with high hummidity. I only open vents in stages wen rooted. Hope this helps. I av 100% sucess doin this . Good luck x

  7. Ps shud av said same applies for seeds but no hormone added but same methid. I just pop seed in jiffy or rockwool about 1cm at most and lightly cover. Seeds sprot in 3 to 5 days . Same method of lite and temps and spray misting etc. Xxx

  8. If it's dripping then it's definitely too wet. Try this out Rooting Clones The Easy Way it's a way of rooting clones that requires no maintenance so you can't over water, and there are no consumables to buy other than water
