Quick Brownie Question

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by SDDailyToker, Jan 28, 2011.

  1. I'm making some brownies later today and I was just wondering if you have to let the butter sit overnight or if it can go straight from cooking for 20-30 minutes into making brownies. I just want to know because I'm impatient and excited :D

  2. I have always used oil because the few times my buddies and i tried to use butter the boiling point of thc doesnt get reached because butter will burn quicker than oil and make everything taste funky. But ya after you filter it then put it straight in the brownie batter and bake. Add extra egg for more fluffy

  3. I make brownies every week, an extra egg will not make it more fluffy. It will make it more cake like. If you want soft fluffy brownies, sift your flour or whisk the dry flour. It will introduce more air into it. If your using a box mix, well I don't think this post was very help full :p

EDIT: Oh yeah, to answer your question, yes you can go from cooking it to putting it in, but I would suggest letting it sit for about 10 minutes to cool a little bit.

  4. I'm making some butter as we speak. I make my butter by boiling 8 cups or so water with 2 sticks of butter and my herb. After I strain it, you have to let it sit to separate it, otherwise you'll have 80% water. How do you make your butter?

  5. i made mine the way you made yours. if your impatient wait an hour and just scrape the butter from the top of the water. if you have time put it in the fridge for 2-4 hours.

  6. use oil ya dig?
better yield and makes a fucking delicious brownie.
And don't add too many eggs, it makes for a cakey brownie.

  7. I just pulled last nights butter out of the fridge and separated it. Looks clean and smells great. Made it potent. Hope its fun.

How do you prep the oil?

  8. You prepare oil the same way you prepare butter. The only difference between butter and oil is that oil is harder to burn, so it's the safer choice.

  9. I do my butter in a double boiler and I never burn. I'd like to try the oil though. So I assume you let it cool and then separate it off??? It's still gonna be liquid at this point I assume..

  10. Nah the oil don't separate, you use it straight.
