why dont they make larger bongs out of acrylic? ive never seen anything over 9" made out of acrylic. whats the deal? i know glass is better for a few reasons, but it seems like you would never have to worry about it getting broken. why doesnt anyone make a nice acrylic bong?
acrylics come in every weird ass shape and size on the planet. ive seen them 3 inches tall to 5 feet tall.
Yea the acrylic I bought for my buddy as a housewarming gift as he is not picky, was a 2 foot pink acryllic for $25 bucks...thing actually rips pretty good too...not as good as my molino but still decent.
mainly because it's illegal to mass produce in the states, and the chinese factories that make them can't make anything too amazing or valuable partially because itd be expensive and not worth making, and the chance it should get seized they don't want it to be too devastating to the company's profits. american glass is of quality and innovation because it's handled by artists, not machines and chinese kids.
There are tons of acrylic bongs that are over 3 ft, and they're damn cheap. I'm 99% sure they don't make acrylic bongs with perculators though, because it would be really fucking hard to shape it with a machine and connect it to the tube. Acrylic is just a much inferior product than glass.
Yeah, they do make them. They're just harder to find because most of the time, someone who's looking for something bigger or with a perc or something is going to be looking for glass and not acrylic. I have hit an acrylic 6 foot bong, that was pretty interesting.
I used to have a six foot acrylic bong, the biggest thing I noticed is that the acrylic tends to stain, and glass doesn't
to what exactly? all of that is deducted, except the fact that its illegal to mass produce acrylic bongs in the united states. I could easily find a source to prove that if you'd like.
