Hey Whas Up ive been lurkin around da site...and i got some bagseeds tha other day and some i plannin a grow for next month... and i think i pretty much understand everything and my plan is to hydro grow using cfls...but tha one thing i dont understand is the smell control..r there other optioms other than the carbon scrubber. and do i hook it up to the inline fan. if so is a 4inch fan rated at 94cfm good enough. im growing one plant for now just to seeing how well it turns out. and either topping or scrog. and my cab dems r 4w x 6h x 24 ...thanks in advance for tha help
There are more options other than a carbon scrub, but they're expensive (o-zone generator) and can potentially be hazardous to use if used incorrectly. You're prolly gonna want to get a HPS with those dimensions, and you should have room for a few more plants as well. You could probably scrog 4 plants in that space. As for your questions with the fans... I'm not totally sure, so I'm not gonna answer... Visit the links in unoit's signature, or try searching through the stickies in the various grow forums here. I'm sure you'll find something that can help you... Plus there's always the search button. You can run a search for carbon filters, carbon scrubs, or for indoor setups and the like.
Your cheapest, most effective alternative is probably a time released ozium sprayer. You can pick one up for about 50 bucks. Theres also ONAs (Odor Neutralizing Agents) which come in solid blocks and gel, but I dont know how well they work. Everything else like can filters and ozone generators will cost you at least $100.
