  1. Hello all,

First post and new to growing. A little background. I plan to make oil and edibles for a family member with Parkinson's don't plan on consuming myself at this point. I live in Michigan.

I am new to growing and have been from clones since July. It's gorilla glue #4

    1. How much should i prune at this point, tried getting rid of lower bud sites tonight to add more energy to the top.
    2. When should I stop fertilizing, I've errored on the side of less fertilizing and water as to not overdue both.

Give some suggestions but be kind it's my first grow. Thanks [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  2. I would not touch it. Let her go and don't harvest early. They look good and healthy. Maybe some good bloom nutrients and brew some tea.

  3. Very nice looking plants......even if it were your 100th time!! You have FAR better plants that what I am used to seeing with first time growers....so good for you on that!

I personally would feed them all the way up to harvest......and as stated above.....make sure not to chop early....you can lose alot of weight that way.......

  4. Any tips besides once 65%-70%ish of the white pistol hairs turn brown?

  5. Thanks, does it help that clones are from females cloned since 08 when MI passed medicinal?

  7. No....compost tea.....you can research if you want....its more for Organic growers....IMO.

YES!!!! That's how you wanna do clones EVERYTIME....if you want bud. Since the clones are Female...it means they will produce flowers.....the "good stuff we smoke"

That's an easier way to do a generalized judgement.....around the 70% pistils being brown and curling in....is about the time the trichomes are also looking "ready"..........depending on who you ask will determine the answer you will get on what the trichomes need to look like.....but the "general rule of thumb" is you want majority milky white color....with some amber ones...which usually leaves you with a FEW clear ones still as well.......the more clear they are...the more "sativa style" high you will get...the more amber....the more "couch lock"......."indica style" high..

  8. Sorry for going crazy with questions. So if I want my family member to have more relaxed effects should I wait a little longer or can I wait to long and ruin the bud?

  9. yes....wait a bit longer.....you can't really ruin it by waiting.....I mean.....if you leave it on there until the plant is basically dead...yeah thats too long....but if you arent TRYING to leave it on there too long.....you really can't IMO

  10. I have never heard that, but that's good to know. Fairly new to this myself as this is my 5th outdoor grow, but I can tell you one thing I've learned for sure is patience is key. I could have sworn my first 2 grows were ready and I picked them too early. Pretty much all I got was a slight head change and a headache. Third grow was excellent as I waited a full 12 weeks (even though the wait killed me!) and it turned out being some of the best bud I have ever smoked. Last year I had a male plant, didn't catch it in time, and it pollinated my other 2 females. Pretty much turned out being a disaster. This year my 3 females look incredible. Now it's up to me to not chop them too soon.

When you feel like your ladies are ready to pull, post pictures on here and I'm sure the pros will tell you whether they are or not. Have patience and enjoy your grow!

  11. Plants look awesome man! Keep up the good work. You've done your research before.

All I can recommend is keep checking on them, and nows the best time to check for and remove any deep inner under developed growth. If it's way behind now, it will still be way behind come harvest. They look good though, not too busy or out of control.

  12. Also very good info. I've always believed it's much better to wait too long than too soon.

  13. Update Pictures... in just about a week seems like some good growth. [IMG][IMG]
