Title says it all, any questions are welcome. Main questions I have are: Is the light placed in an optimum position? Plants density is perpendicular to the bulbs length and light is 3 ft from the top of the plants. Is it better to have the bulb high and cover a larger area with more uniform light or is it better to get that bulb within about 1.5 feet regardless. Is the main grow area utilized completely? About 6 ft x 7 ft of main bud overall shape is 8 ft x 8 ft Should the plants be larger or smaller? Vegetative growth wise The sensi star around the outside are at 6 weeks veg and the two big bag-seed unknowns are at 9 weeks veg and 3rd week of flower. Would someone rather do 4 smaller 3 gallon 4 week heavy veg sensi stars every month and have 8 flowering at any time. Has anyone done that and what kind of yields did you achieve with what strains. Now obviously no one can be exact but when someone veg's 4 Indica plants for 6-8 weeks then put them under a 1000 watt HPS what kind of yields can an experienced grower expect with soil less mix and 'Vganic' fertilizer regimen. Again, just looking for a range that you have seen not exact. And there are a lot of people freaking out when people ask about yields so let's put that fire out right now! The best is kept for medicine and the rest is donated for other people that can't make this shit happen themselves. Care about the people not making a quick buck! Any criticism is appreciated and hypothetical questions are always welcome! Thanks for reading this
Looks good man. I like to get my 1000watt as close as I can, but you have to find a happy medium where you are getting large enough foot print to cover your grow area. Remember the farther the light is away the less lumens they are getting. however you can get too close with a 1000. I go for about 12-18 inches. As far as yield it all depends on conditions. if you are doing things right with a 6 week veg you should prob. get anywhere from 3-6 oz. per plant. Strain dependent of course. Your setup looks pretty good. You just need to figure out what works best for you.
Thank you very much! My thoughts exactly, just needed to hear it from someone else. they all still get light just not that super intense stuff. It also seems like a lot less light would get wasted out into the room. Should one put the 1 st week of flower plants in the center and the 5th week flower plants around them or the other way around?
When working with one light I always keep a rotation going on. Every 2 days I rotate the plants to different spots. One thing you could also do if you have room is to get a light rail.
These look excellent in growing the same 1 sensi star 2 white widow and 2 bag seeds same time frame also they're about 6wks and I'm about to switch to flowering tonite yours are larger tho but good luck
Hey guys i need some urgent advice. Im in the seedling stage of my grow and i have a 600w HPS/MH. Do you think straight after the 18w fluro seedling light has done its job i can use the MH for veg or do i need to purchase a 100w fluro for veg??

YEah i think im just going to vegetate with a 600w MH and flower with the 600w HPS. As long as i dont put the light to close to the young plants they should be fine hey?
Thanks guys! I wouldnt like to veg under a 600 watt 18 hrs a day because of electricity prices but if you do you wont be disappointed. Just start with the light 3 or 4 feet away and move it down a half foot a day until its 12-18 inches away. Guaranteed wont hurt the babys unless they have no roots or no water.

[/quote] Ok cheers man. And roughly what are you thinkin the electricity bill will be with the 600 on 18hr day? 20 a month ?
That would be 216 kilowatt hrs every 20 days and would cost between $20 and $50. It would cost people by me $50 no matter what because if they go over 600 kilowatt hours then the price on the second 600 kilowatt hrs is $.22 cents a kilowatt hour. Weak! To figure it out exactly Do this. Take your wattage 600 divide it by 1000. Bam that's how many kilowatt hrs it will use every hour. Which is .6 Multiply that by the number of hours it will be on each day. In this case 18. So you get 10.8 That means each day you will use 10.8 kilowatt hrs. No you can multiply that number by the number of days you will be running the light. 20 you said. So bam 216 kilowatt hrs this month. Now its on you to check how much you pay per kilowatt hour but lets be safe and say 18 cents. So 216 times $.18 will give you the cost of $38.88. Thats on the high side so you need find out what your electricity will cost you. Do this with everything you plan to run more than two or three hrs in your grow area and you will know what your overhead/cost of dankness will be. PS Someones switching over to 4 t5 ho bulbs in a 4 ft x 2 ft tent for my 5 week veg. Even if this yields less.. which it wont.. Someone will save almost $90 a month on their electric bill year round so Sweet! Most would still rather veg under HID metal halide light just they have to choose whether to veg or flower under HID and that should be a no brainer. If you use that 600 to flower you wont be sorry. I figure you can reasonably get 4 plants under that light that are lst'd to a 2ft x 2ft canopy and about 2 or 3 feet tall when finished flowering. This Is what a Jedi badass would do! Thanks guys!
