I just got some miracle gro bloom booster rated @ 15-30-15 will this fry my plants? I hear lots of mixed things about mg and i dont expect it to be as good as Fox Farm nutes but will it get the job done? When should i start useing them? Dilute to 1/4 or 1/2?

Also, would 2700k soft white cfl's work for veg as well as flower or will i get real shitty harvest unless i get the 6400

    Thanks blades

  2. Just use the dosage chart carefully. I used something similar from MG on my 1st run. If you're using dirt that already has nutes then wait at least 3 weeks. As far as dilution safest bet is to start at a quarter and work up to more. Back off if you see any signs of nute burn.
Can't answer the cfl. Hopefully someone can help.

  3. That stuff is really only good for floral type plants. In other words its great for roses and such, but not for all plants that flower. When flowering cannabis plants, you want your percentage of nitrogen to match your percentage of phosphorus and then you want your percentage of potassium to be double of both your percentages of nitrogen and phosphorus. So in this case, that mix has double the needed phosphorus a cannabis plant needs, and only half the percentage of potassium that a cannabis plant needs while flowering. Yes it's true any type of plant that flowers needs phosphorus to promote bloom, but giving it more phosphorus than it needs will not promote more blooming. In fact when it comes to cannabis plants, giving your cannabis plant more phosphorus than potassium and not the same amount of nitrogen will cause most all the phosphorus to fixate, become immobile in the ph range of 6.0 to 7.0. Which will cause a nutrient lockout, showing up on your leaves as something resembling a calcium toxicity.

  5. All these posts are good. Fataqui has the science and Robbie the humour. Blade has what he has. It'll be an uphill battle and next time he can get the proper nutes. I started with MH tomato formula and had good results. Just the same I will never, ever do it again because now I use Gen-hydro nutes and I've seen the difference 1st hand. ;)

P.s. The difference looks like this.

  6. I had the same questions as you not too long ago. I really don't like the MG nutes because I am using FF big grow.if you are using soul with pre packed nutes you should be fine for the moment. But as far as the CFL situation you definitely want to change your 2700k to the daylight 6500k the 27s are used more for flowering. I was doing the same thing as soon as I made the switch they started BUSHING out!

  7. Thanks guys, im going to just use it this time around, its my first grow so im bound to fuck up some how. Im just going to get some FFOF then use the MG when i switch to flower. I only plan on useing it twice throughout this grow, im putting my $ towards some 2 42watt 6400k spectrum CFLs. Inputs on this plan ? I plan on useing duel spectrum throughout the grow, 1x 42watt 2780k 1x 23watt 2700k and those two 42watt 6400k the grow box can be found in my previous posts. Plan on two plants what you blades think?

  8. Don't stress to much on the color rating ... just get as many bulbs as you can in there.

Think of the plant needs the light to grow. More light = more growth

  12. this is not true. i have been using the whole line of fox farms products and my plants are vegging great!
    i highly reccomend.
general hydro is good for big grows. my plug uses it and says its great.
miracle grow seed starting soil has very small traces of nutrients. mix with perlite and its great.
just speaking frm my own experience. not a expert. good luck bro!

  13. My buddy used miracle grow on a couple plants to try it. Produced good, looked good, but the taste was so scrappy, it could barely be smoked.

  16. It's just a concentrated 1-2-1 ratio. Would be ok if you needed it in flower. Kind of gimmicky more than anything else though.
