After trying my first autos, I was thinking about supplementing a set of overhead LEDs (Phlizon 600w) in a small grow tent (20in x 36in) with some CFLs or something similar to provide light from the sides. As for the questions... Can I just get LEDs in a couple of different color temps (say 2700k and 6500k) instead of CFLs? If so, what wattage would be appropriate for that space, assuming 1 for each corner? If I go instead with CFLs, what wattage would be right? and maybe most important of all... Please provide product recommendations for clip-on light fixtures and/or bulbs Thanks, friends
Is there a difference in results between 100w CFLs and 100w LEDs, or it's all the same to the plants? womp womp
yeah, there is going to be a bit of difference in the two.......IMO........but BASICALLY.........100w is 100w...........depends on how efficient both are.
I was considering LEDs because they're generally more energy efficient and produce practically no heat. So I basically just want household bulbs to light up the sides of the plant, because the top is fine. Or at least I think that's what I want lol Do CFLs produce higher yields or something?
I wouldn't say they would......no. WIth CFL's.........to get the full benefit of their light.......they have to be SITTING RIGHT ON TOP of the plants in my opinion.....
It's all new to me. Just figured I'd ask. What about lamps? Does anyone have recommendations for E26 light fixtures for grow tents?
