Questions for Homosexuals, by Straight People

Discussion in 'Sex, Love & Relationships' started by Lodi Dodi, Aug 2, 2012.

  1. Stuff about "gay" people has been popping up all over the news today, and I got to wondering....I really don't know anything about you people.

So I smoked, and drove home from work, and thought of a few questions.

    1. I am a straight dude. I couldn't tell you when I knew I was straight, but, it was just something I know. My dick gets hard around females.

Was knowing you were gay as natural as that? Like really a feeling you can't explain. I guess on a scientific level, hormonal drive. Or were you like...."Idk? Chicks or Dicks?"

    2. I've met relatively "normal" gay dudes, but they seem few and far between, at least around me. Like why are so many of you effeminate? That high "gay" voice. Have you always been like that, or is it because you typically hang around with females? Not saying all "gays" hang around with females, but they have stereotypes for a reason.

    3. Louis CK: Faggot - YouTube

Do you find this video offensive? And do you agree/disagree with what he's saying?

    4. Can you answer these? Or is something straight people just can't understand...like what it feels like to have a vag. :D

This is a serious thread, I'm curious to the answers to these questions. IF you have felt any offense, please forgive me, it was unintentional.

Others, feel free to ask, but lets keep it respectful.

P.S. ON a side note, I had a bitch of a time getting that video to embed....notice it is not. Can anyone help me with this? Lol.

  2. I like your questions.

The first one is kinda obvious though, nobody can help who they are or aren't attracted too. I'm sure most gay people didn't choose to be gay they just are.

I'm also curious about the high voices and whatnot. Also why do gay guys not like sports and stuff? I know you're gay but you're still a guy right and most gay guys I know don't. I'm just wondering.

    1. experimentation...

    2. i sound normal as fuck...

    3. I don't take the time to get offended by shit so i didn't watch it but louis ck is funny as shit though...

    4. yea not that hard...

on a personal note i have always thought i was gay, always have experimented with guys never had a true relationship with a guy though... i cant do it for some reason... so i stopped trying to find someone and had lots of no strings attached gay sex... then i met the girl of my dreams and started the perfect relationship, then she had to move unexpectedly and i made a thread about it but no one had anything good to say so i deleted that, and iv been emotionally fucked for a week now, so anyway i guess you could say i am only half gay, but i don't like the term bi because fuck that!!! i am what i am, some days i might be gayer then i am straight and vice versa:wave::cool:

    1. Always liked guys and girls but I thought that everyone did so I just really focused on girls until I realized there was a thing called bisexuality.
    2. Maybe its different because I'm bi but I am slightly feminine but if you went by my interests you couldn't tell I like guys.
    3. Didn't watch the video, can't I'm on my phone and the app isn't working :/
    4. Sort of....I feel like this isn't what you're looking for cause I'm bi lol.

I think a lot of gay guys fit that stereotype because they feel they need to fill a roll, that if you like guys your supposed to be feminine if that makes any sense. Personally I don't know many gay guys so I couldn't tell ya :p hope I helped a little.

  6. I know gay guys on both sides of the femininity scale, some that were jack flaming (will and grace reference) and som that were so butch i'd still prefer at my back than most straight guys. People have questioned my sexuality because I'm abnormal, and I never begrudged that, but I think the "oh hai guies" gay stereotype need to die.

On that note I do have a question, what's the social psychological structure in a homosexual relationship like? It varies between people of course, but where a heterosexual relationship how do basic household structure work? (example: child with two dads gets in trouble at school, what happens to the "wait till your father gets home" concept, and what replaces it?

  7. The gay couples with children I know have different names their children call them, such as Dad and Pop or Ma and Mimi. It helps with the distinction, although the phrase "wait til your father gets home" would just simply mean the father that's not doing the speaking.

    1. That's kinda hard for me to answer. It wasn't something I really thought about. I did have a crush on my baseball couch when I was 10. And before that I did things that all boys do growing up. I always thought I was normal. I dated girls but we never had sex. I have always been gay but there was never a point where I "decided" or had an ephiny or anything. It's just who I am.

    2. I guess I'm one of those relatively "normal" gay dudes. Never had a high pitched voice and I'm not really sure why some do. My guess is they were always that way or came out at a young age and got made fun of a lot and figured that's how they were suppose to be but Idk.

    3. Didn't watch I'm on my phone. What someone says on video or the internet will never bother. Why should it its a dumbass on the internet lol. But if someone tried to start shit with me in real life id handle it and defend myself.

    4. I'm just like you there's nothing to explain or understand. I like men. You like women. I think we all understand that don't we?

I'm only out on this particular forum. Other then that I'm in the closet. I do everything any of you would do. Actually probably more and I'm really talented. I paint graffiti, ride bmx, skate board, wake board, I'm a pilot, there's tons more but you all get the point. I'm a normal dude.

  12. Faggot = bundle of sticks.. Well, it used to.

  13. I love that you put that Louis C.K. video in there.. LOL

  14. forgot to add that in there i hunt, fish, bmx, skate, mountain bike... all the normal guy things i don't see why people think gays cant do that too...

like cumon just because i like dick every once in a while doesn't make me any less of a man:cool:

  15. I always thought "faggots" were obnoxious bikers..

  16. There are studies that suggest that men with more effeminate genes tend to be homosexual. Little boys that like to play with their mother's purse and wear high heels are more likely to be gay. They aren't acting, it is in their genetics.

I think he's saying that a girl can't explain to a guy what it feels like to have a vag. While in reality they can but you could never fully understand till youv actually had one.

Hey man. I've tried to answer as honestly as possible. I hope you learn something :p I'm just a regular guy who enjoys regular stuff (reading, BBQing, partying, smoking, drinking, hiking) who happens to be gay. So, my 1st suggestion is FORGET EVERYTHING YOU THINK YOU KNOW ABOUT GAY GUYS. It's just a sexual orientation.

Yes :p. I remember 7 years ago when I was around 12 or 13 and went to a summer camp. All the guys would simply get naked and change in front of each other. This would feel 'weird' in a good way, but I "knew" I shouldn't show it. One day, one of the guys in my bunk -who I felt an "unexplainble need" to hang out with and be close with- decides to flash me (show me his dick) when we where alone. Guess what? I got the biggest boner I've ever had, I couldn't take my eyes off his package, and I became really, really nervous.

Fast forward a few weeks. I met a really beautiful girl. She liked me. And I knew I was expected to like her. I would hold her hand, but I didn't feel anything. We grinded, and I didnt feel anything. I liked her, as a friend. But I wouldn't admit this second half to me. My first thoughts where "I like her, so I can't possible be gay".

Then I decided to look up some porn on the internet for the first time. You could say I was having my sexual awakening. I knew I was supposed to google "pussy" and I did. But I got bored, and it wasnt long till I started looking for guys, dicks, and all that stuff :smoke:

Long story short, about one year ago, I simply told myself "Every person that has given you butterflies is a guy, you jerk off to gay porn, you are always checking out cute guys...God damn it dude, you like other dudes, get over it" :hello: That's when I came out of the closet to myself, and to my close friends and relatives a month after that.

Here we have a perceptual problem. If you go into a room with 100 people, you'll notice the high-pitched effeminate gay guy. If they asked you how many gays there were in the room, you'll answer one. However, if that room is representative of the world, 5-15 of them would be gay.
Are you getting my point? Its not that gays are like that, it's that you ONLY notice the gays that are like that.

As to why some of us have a high pitched voice (I dont, but I dont feel superiour because of it), it has been suggested that it used to have an evolutionary darwinian advantage in villages where gay guys (hence, guys without families) where in charge of looking out for dangerous tribes or animals.

Dude, you'll never be able to fully grasp what it feels when you get kicked out of a sleep over because one of your supposedly "best friends" said he wont sleep next to a faggot.

However, I welcome your empathy. If you perceive your freedom and liberation as co-dependent of mine, Awesome: to my best effort, I'll try to help you understand this oppressed minority.

I've heard so much garbage, I'm probably desensitized. I found your post to have many great and valid questions.

Gay = happy, merry... Well, it used to.

Same type of thing. This is kind of derailing the thread but I wonder how these words evolved.
    Lol
