My plant is growing strong and new leaves are coming up everyday, it's under 2 23 watt 6500k in a flat white cabinet, I had 6 6500k on it but it got way to hot in there, with 2 bulbs the heat is under control until I figure out a better vent setup. The box is 2.5 feet tall by 1.5 ft wide,I would love some experienced people to give me advice and help me- my first question is on venting this box, I would love to use PC fans but I don't understand how to wire more than one, or even one for that matter-I've looked on here and the internet and can't find how to wire more than one, and I'm very confused on the wattage and stuff with the adapter. My plan is one for intake and outake, but I need to light proof these somehow-what is recommended for lightproofing? If I go PC fans route I don't know which ones to buy or which adapter, and I can't afford that much. If someone could direct me how to vent and what to get that would be awesome. My next question is my first set of leaves that come up are turning light green from the tips to the inside, there is a couple very light green spots and a few like burnt spots, they never touched the lights, besides those every leaf looks healthy. My soil is natural mix with some perlite and a little bit of Scott's potting for a little nutrients. I water the soil when the plant needs it and definatley do not over water-straight up tap water I let sit for a few days. So why are they turning light green with these odd spots. Please guys I thought it wouldn't even sprout and seeing it grow is acctually fun, I want to figure this issue out before it dies and the internet is not helping me! Much thanks
Ok there is best I could get, hopefully you can see small burn on edges, does my plant look right? Thanks guys
Miracle grow, scotts, etc, are very strong. Even a small amount for a seedling can cause burn. Poke a decent amount of holes in the bottom and water enough to get some runoff. then as soon as it dries/asap transplant into some more natural soil with more perlite.
Alright so I just transplanted into some fox farm happy frog with perlite, little extra added also. Over night before I transplanted dead spots are showing on oldest leaves and new growth is turning light at tips and sides. Here is a pic. is my plant done for and if not what can I do? Please somebody help me save it! What can I do? Thanks!
