questions about my leggy plants (pics)

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by bigjtex, Oct 4, 2007.

  1. ok so ive been doing this for almost 3 months now (it seems like a really long time is this normal?) but my plants are about 2 and a half feet tall and are producing pistils so i know that they are gonna bud. but is the fact that they are so tall going to effect my yeild? and they are outdoor only plants and are just starting to flower i think it will take another mont bringing the total to 4 months is this a normal grow period for out door plants?

these pics are about 3 weeks old do they look normal or healthy other pics i see here look nothing like these

  2. yea man their strait their doing fine for outside weed and i think its good that their smaller. ne ways...
3-4 weeks is totaly normal but if i was you i would put inside on some hps lights for the flowering man
    closet time!!!!!!

  3. nah i mean i took the pics three weeks ago i started the grow in mid july

  4. bump......................................................................................................................

  5. I wouldnt trip, they look very healthy but you will need MUCH bigger pots for an outside grow, the biggest ones you can find will be best. Remember they get 3x as bushy when flowering comes around so thats when they will be filling out.

  6. how much direct sunlight are they getting? they do look a bit leggy, kinda stretched out like they arnt getting alot of sun... looks like kept betweena hed and brick wall so one of those structures might be blocking out alot of light most of the day

  7. They look really healthy, a little too stretchy for my taste, but besides that youve got a nice crop

  8. they are not behind that structure hardly ever i had a repair man over and needed to hide them. they get as much sunlight ad possible in my yard about 7-8 hours a day
