Questions about growing in florida, hurricanes, heavy rains, etc.

  1. To be more specific I live in central florida, along the eastern coast. We have really strange foliage here, its a lot of big bushy palms that make basically an ocean of them. We have very tall pine trees, swamp oak, etc. The soil is basically just sand with very little dirt. So it's a difficult area to judge how to go about it for the first time. I know it's grow zone 9b if that means anything. I'm thinking large pots, possibly pulp pots? would be the way to go, and maybe even a platform system if i have to since it floods in almost all remote areas available to plant here. also, i'm not sure of the time of year to plant here. there is a lot of sun in the summer, but also a lot of rain. their haven't been any hurricanes the past couple years, but knowing my luck there will be like 3 or 4 this year. i fucking hate them, knock out all the power, sleeping with no a/c in the summer sucks.

I'm planning on using the following:

    Strains:

    x7 femenized Master Kush

    x7 femenized Shaman

    Growing medium:

Kellogg PATIO PLUS Outdoor Potting Soil

    Nutrients:

The Recipe for Success Starter Kit from BC Bloom

Water is going to mostly come from rain catches at each of the 3 sites. If not, I'll be able to get it from local sources or i can carry it in if absolutely needed

  2. any help would be great

  3. You didn't really ask any questions......
but yes sleeping with out ac sucks.. been there done that...20 days no power..35 days no cable or internet.. this place look'd like hell in a hand basket....

A CAT 1 will destroy ur plants.. IDK I bagged mine in 60 gal trash bags and stuck them in the garage...
This year I'am guessing if anything ill pound 4 2x4's into the ground and wrap it chicken wire then a heavy duty tarp...
or maybe try digging them out and replant as soon as the winds die down..
