EHLE. Glass - 3-Point Glass Screen 14.5mm - Screens / Filters / Gauzes - Smoking Accessories - Grasscity.com Why does it list the joint size? What does blocking the hole in the bowl have to do with joint size? Also, what is the difference between glass gauze and a glass screen? I'm looking for a glass screen for a smaller bowl, not sure what to get. BTW GC needs to get a way better selection of glass screens, as EDIT has them beat by far. Can't buy what they don't have, right?
There really is no difference. It's more a nationality kind of thing. In Europe they tend to refer to it as gauze. In North America you are more apt to hear it refered to as a screen especially if you are talking about the metal kind. Basically it's all the same with a different name.
But bowl size has nothing to do with joint size. I mean I guess 19 mm bowls would naturally be slightly bigger than 14 mm bowls, but not anything that would matter. Besides, we're talking about the width of the hole in the bowl, which has 0% to do with joint size. I just wanted to make sure that the gauze isn't meant to go in the joint itself, which is what I thought of when I saw joint size listed.
Look at a roor or ehle bowl. They have massive holes, hence the need for a gauze. If you look at the way their bowls are shaped, you'll see why joint size makes a difference.
