question: the first sign of BUDS

    hello,

    So I just got back from a weekend away and i saw my 12/12 plants had some noticeable growth on the bud sites... This growth looks like sacks (with pistols), my question is what do the first signs of buds look like? there are no other sacks anywhere else on the plants, so i thought I either stressed them into hermies or i'm over reacting right now. i'm waiting for a slr camera to take pictures. I can understand if they're hermies since I'm not always around the water when i'd like. basically do buds first 'pop' out of the bud sites? I will try to get pictures up within the next few hours.

    on the main stem there are only pistols, no sacks of any kind.

    If males are present, how long should you wait before removing them from the grow space? 2 males were flowering for ~2 weeks, is this enough time to chop em and make hash?

    Tough to tell without pics. Get them up and we can help you identify the sex.

    If you do see pistols though, I would guess it's a girl.

    You have plenty of time. Males won't burst until after week 4. And this means 4 weeks after showing sex, not 4 weeks from the 12/12 switch.

    These are female, about a week after my original post they really popped and 2 were male and 2 female.

    Deff a fem.

    Id be careful leaving a Confirmed male in a grow w/ Females any more than 7 days. Males have been known to release polen on day 3 especially if you are too rough with them.

    I had an auto flowering plant produce 1 seed out of the 11g harvest. Its because I was handleing a plant that I didnt know was just starting to become male in my veg room. This was 3 weeks ago. I just 4 days ago was able to tell they were males with my naked eye.

    1 seed is not bad obviously, almost a blessing. Morel of the story is becareful, they can get ya.

    Id say you can make some hash but dunno how good its goona be. I'm making hash with my 2 males as well. Ill let you know how my hash turns out. ISO wash hash btw.

    I heart seeds...clones are so useful and make life easy. But nothing compares to the wonderful knowledge gained from using seeds...Variety is the spice of life, and ever so often you get that certain phenotype which makes sweet sweet lovin to your mind hole.
