Question: state legalization.

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by KarrotCake01, Nov 12, 2012.

  1. If a state legalized marijuana, for example Colorado, do companies still drug test on cannibus. I assume federal will still do but what about state?

They have the right to according to amendment 64. I didn't read I-502 yet so I don't know about Washington.

  3. Under the terms of both Amendment 64 in Colorado and I-502, corporations still have the right to make a passed drug test a term of employment.

    It will remain the same.

  4. I would just I would I would just say to your employer that you smoke before the test, and try to find something else to talk about immediately after

  5. They have the right to deny you the job if you're found with THC in your system, even though it's legal.
I would imagine that if you had a legitimate medical reason (and a prescription) the employer wouldn't mind unless the job requires delicate work; every employer is different. But without a medical reason I really don't see the employer thinking of you smoking as anything other than using mind-altering drugs.
