Hey guys, so I have been doing organics for a few years now and have learned a TON off of here, so first things first I wanted to say thank you! Anyways, been doing some extensive research on teas recently and to be completely honest I had all but done away with them with no till growing and top dressing. However, recently I have been watching some youtube channels of people who have been using teas for differing issues especially regarding PH. Now this interested me because I have had PH problems with organics in the past and having some tricks up my sleeve would be great. So, I have made plenty of teas before that were EWC, kelp, alfalfa, and molasses to which I would add aloe and silica. To my understanding that would be primarily a bacterial tea? I was reading up on teas made from compost, especially when the compost has been pre activated and the guy was saying something about how that was mostly a fungal tea? He also said that depending on if your PH needs to go up and down you would use one over the other. I just wanted to get some clarification on whether or not I am on the right track of understanding what he was talking about. Lastly, I understand sst's are used primarily for enzymes correct? Can you also tell me when those type of teas would be best used? I normally just topdress malted barley powder anyways but didnt know if there were specific instances where enzymes are necessary (i.e ph problems, lack of nutes, etc). Thanks guys!
