Question regarding Prop 19

Discussion in 'Marijuana Legalization' started by PilkyHigh, Sep 30, 2010.

  1. Sorry if this has already been asked, but I can't seem to find an answer for it. When Prop 19 passes, will people from other states be able to legally purchase and use cannabis when they travel to California?

  2. Yes. Visitors will not be required to prove they are residents. Simply being in Califonia is adequate, for the state law... while in CA.

However, this will *not* protect people who are visiting from other states/countries, if they visit, smoke up - and then return to their own state/country and then have to have a drug test, for whatever reason, under their own state laws.

  3. It'll be the same as alcohol or cigarettes. If beer was illegal in Virginia (for the example) and I went to West Virginia, I could buy some beer.

But, as Zenghrila said, this won't excuse you from the law in your own state.

  4. come on up and have a smoke.:smoke:

  5. make sure ur state votes YES and we will

  6. why don't YOU make sure my state votes yes? just because you can't vote doesn't mean you can't help spread the word and educate the ignorant.

  7. preaching to the choir broski. been doing that for ages as well.

  8. cool, keep it up then. :hello:
