Question Regarding Horse Manure

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by AngryPossum, Mar 23, 2023.

  1. I'm gonna grow some lady's this year outdoors for my 3rd straight year. I'm Probably gonna do Acapulco Gold and a few other photo strains. Question is what is the ratio of manure to soil. The manure will be aged 1 year and it's organic manure. I don't want to burn my lady's up. Any help will be great thanks.

  2. I do composted chicken manure at a 1 pound coffee can to 1 cubic foot of soil. I reammend with the same amount at every plant change. Works out to 4 times a year. Horse isn't as hot so you can likely use more but i'd test on a non critical plant before i got to heavy handed.

  3. stick with 1/3rds and you cant go wrong, make sure you got it busted up as good as you can and 1/3 rd soil , compost perlite , wood chips some kind of air.
both horse and cow manure doesnt hydrate well in chunks , if you bust it up to same texture as soil , that is ideal , even still dont let it dry out when your growing, shit hahahah is heck to get re hydrated

  5. What they said. ^^^ My mom always used cow manure from her sister's cattle farm. Dried-out manure is best. If you use the freshly dumped variety, that will kill your plants. Most Amish farmers I know don't put more than the first rail in a split-rail fence, going from the bottom up. Even the Amish have their limits.
