A fan is important to keep air moving in and around your grow space, as well as strengthening the overall plant. You should also have some kind of fan that exhausts stale air out of your room as well as pulls fresh air into it.

Your plant will start budding at about 10-14 days after you change your photoperiod (light cycle) from 18/6 or 24/0 down to 12/12. This change in light cycle tells the plant to release the hormones that promote flowering.

A male plant also will grow it's own distinct set of flowers. Depending on how long you let your plants veg (grow under 18-24 hours of light), your plants will begin to show "pre-flowers". These are located where the branches or petioles (leaf stems) come off of the main stem. You should google image search male and female marijuana flowers and pre-flowers so you can learn to identify males.
The other way to identify a male plant is to watch carefully during the first two weeks of the 12/12 light cycle, and the males will show distinctly different flowers. As soon as you can determine that you have a male, remove it.
Finally, use the stickies here at GC and read, read, read. Most any question you may have has already been posted here in the stickies.....Good luck on your grow.

  3. fan is used to stablize temperature and humidity and to keep air circulation going, plants need fresh air.

on average itll take 3.5 month and to actually smoke it, 4 months

male plant does not grow buds.

    peace.
