Question on FoxFarm's Liquid Fertilizer Triple Pack

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by ganjaman99, Nov 15, 2010.

  1. Hey everyone,

this is my 1st grow. i am about to begin growing northern lights. i purchased the foxfarm liquid fertilizer 3 pack. it came with big bloom tiger bloom and grow big. im really confused on how much and WHEN to feed my plants using all 3. all comments answers or statements are welcome. thanks.:smoke:

  2. Well here's the shedule they recommend but you should propably start with like 1/4 strenght and go up from there. Now I'm not exactly sure so if I'm wrong someone please correct me.

  3. ya cuba is correct, start at 1/4 strength and use nutes with every other watering. if you use full strength from the beginning youre going to nute burn your seedling fasho

  4. Im using the same nutes but you should also get the soluables which are open sesame, beastie bloom, and cha ching, all of which you are going to want to use in flowering in order to increase yield and potency. As far as the dosage goes, if you are going to use FF soil and nutes, I would recommend going full strength and as long as you balance your water after you add your nutes, it should be fine. I would also recommend picking up some 'superthrive'. ill sub to this journal and keep a watch on what you are doing, feel free to do the same with my journal.

  5. Also good to mention that the 1/4 feeding should be started at the 2nd week at the earliest.

  6. so i should use the liquid nutes AND add the solubles? isnt that too much? is there a feeding schedule for them as well? smh the feeding and watering is the only thing that confuses me lol. oh and thanks to everyone for your help so far.

  7. I've always used just the liquid nutes. Everything turns out great. I've got 5 Northern Lights goin' right now as a matter of fact. Just popped through the soil yesterday.

  8. yeah thats what i figured. if you dont mind me asking, what is the average yield per plant. assuming the grow space has perfect conditions and the plant gets all the nutes, water, and light it needs. they will be in 3 gallon pots with each plant recieving about 70w of light. and a co2 generator. im just asking for an estimate not a specific answer.

  9. Really can't answer that, too many variables at play.

What kind of light is providing those 70w per plant?

  10. mh and hps. but what i meant to say what was the maximum amount per plant that one could possibly yield under perfect conditions. from a N.L plant. i want to know how much can that STRAIN can produce MAXIMUM per plant ideally.

  11. There are too many variables to even say how much you get. depending on pot size, training method, nutes, heat. just too hard to say man.

  12. here is a chart i made

  15. 3 gallon pots, 70w per plant, good grow conditions and no problems along the way, I'm guessing a yield of 1-2 oz per plant without training and up to perhaps 3 oz with LST or scrog.

  16. Im using the liquids and soluables. The way that FF has the feeding schedule set up makes it so that you really never use too much

  17. I agree there chart makes everything much easier
I usually lower the dose than recommended

  18. i use these nutes and they work magic, I used 2-4 tablespoons per liter of Grow Big (had to use the hydroponic version because i already had it) during vegatation and 4 tablespoons of Big Bloom, 2 teaspoons of Tiger Bloom during flowering, plants are High Times magazine worthy

  19. C'mon now, you didn't make the chart.

You can find it on foxfarms website. And as someone already mentioned, I like to use a little less than what foxfarm says unless my plants show me they need a higher dosage.

  20. Its actually changed a bit from the website one, so that people dont initially burn their plants, and he also added a flush at the end.

    Its a good chart.
