Question for Michigan residents charged with drug related crime

  1. It is to my understanding that the Michigan law requires driver license suspensions for drug convictions, driving or not. And the minimum it will be suspended for is 6 months....

Does this apply in every case?
Everyone that gets charged with a drug related crime and has a license gets it suspended for 6 months... ?

  2. My friend had a possession charge and he still drives. Actually I know a lot of people in michigan who've had possession charges and still have their licences.

  3. ANY drug related crime gets your license suspended for 6 months.

But michigan has a law that if its your first drug possession you can get a "7411", which means if you complete your probation, your record gets sealed. You don't lose your license when on a 7411
