Question for galvanized steel.

  1. I make new bongs offen, and im curious about using galvanized steel. i do not know if it is safe or not. Is it safe to use galvanized steel for the slide/bowl, near where fire will go for a long time.

    NO, the galvanized layer of zinc will give off toxic fumes as the melting point of the layer is lower than the temperatures a lighter is able to reach.
     
  4. NO! galanized steel is very very bad! Probably worse than smoking plastic. Ask any welder, thoes fumes are very bad for you. Stainless or brass.
