Question for Apple fans

  1. I am planning on getting the new iPhone 5. But I start college Sunday, September 23. I am planning on buying one at home, since there are NONE near my college campus. Would you expect the phones to be sold out the first few days? Would it be better to reserve one online?

The phone is supposed to be announced the 12th, which means it won't come out for a few weeks after that.

  3. i would expect all shipments of iphone 5 to get sold out faster than you could say "sold out" for months
that stuff flies off the shelves so fuckin fast
if you are willing to drop the cash and reserve one, do so asap! if not, plan to wait till end of winter before you can find one any were, and even then you may be SOL

  4. :'( Android 2012.

  5. Just order it on their website. I doubt they will be sold out this time after what happened when the I4 came out, i would assume that Apple will be much more prepared this time.

  6. Your not gunna be able to buy it until mid october probably AT BEST.

Waiting with bells on my shoes though..

  7. Just get a good phone instead

    (Flaming begins now)

  8. Honestly.

Most Android piece phones have AT BEST a 6month life span.. If your fucking lucky.

    and you lose simplicity..

Android based phones are for tech savvy people..

For the lamen the Iphone is a thing of beauty.

  9. If your that worried just pre-order it online.

How much is the new iphone supposed to cost?

  10. The announcement is on September 12. It goes on sale on September 21st.

  11. You're right, the announcement is the 12th. Oops.

  12. ^Depends what phone you get. A popular brand will receive support for longer. The Galaxy S still has developer support and apparently runs jelly bean nicely over two years after it's release.

And simplicity? Android is simple. ios is for kids.

Go Android man. Jelly Bean is nice as hell, iOS is a piece of shit.

And like all other apple products I guarantee you the specs will not warrant the price tag.

  13. There's a huge thread in Silicone Valley about Apple v. Android (more specifically iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3). The Android v. Apple talk would probably be better suited for in there

  14. from where homie?

    I just went to Apple.com but there's nothing about pre-orders :(

    edit: nvm :D I'm a bit high

  15. Won't be until the 12th

  16. I have the Galaxy Tab so im no stranger to both sides of the system...

and Apple KICKS every competitor's ass when it comes to simplicity. Im sorry. Theres no question there..

and the ONLY Android based phones that have any realy solid reviews are the Samsung ones...

and if Apple has its way and wins more Samsung V Apple Lawsuits then i doubt youll be seeing any new Samsung phones until they COMPELTELY switch up there game in which case there practically back to shitty step 1 lol

  17. how much you think the unlocked would cost?

  18. Depending on the capacity you choose, anywhere between 650 and 800

  19. It'll probably be 3-400 dollars with an upgrade available for the 16g
