I suppose you could, but you have to be careful of the roots during transfer if you have a large root structure. If its in a netpot with rockwool or hydroton, I suppose you could just bury the whole thing.

 

Yes, you can go hydro to soil but not soil to hydro.

 

the real question is why on earth? if they are already in one setup or the other why switch? if anything ide say take cuttings and try them in the new medium
