Let me start by saying I love the forums here! I know this is my first post but I've been lurking in the shadows here for a while trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible, and let me tell you, you guys have inspired a lot of great ideas! I'll apologies now if there is a pre-existing thread where this question has been asked/answered. I did a brief search but only found threads on strains. I recently finally got my hands on some purple strains, Querkle and Platinum, and I was wondering what tips are out there for a rookie grower on bringing out the most purple out of your flowers? I've been gifted with a little raw talent and luck so far with growing and i understand A LOT of the science to growing so don't hold back on the level of info. Right now my platinum is in a DWC bubble bucket, Thanks Budslinger!, about 3 weeks into veg and by far has more purple in the stems and veins then any strain I grew so far. Thats in my home closet (My experimental set-up...lol) and will go under a 600 hps in about a week or so. I have 3 clones, taken from that original, in a bigger soil garden I have at my mother and laws house...lol....that I plan on fully vegging to 5 - 6 ft. My querkle I just picked up the other day and started it out in Coco coir, Thanks AskED!, but plan on cloning as well and they too will go into soil. Right now I'm using Cutting Edge Solutions line of base nutes in the buckets and soil, but switched to House and Garden for the coco and plan on switching the soil to House and Garden as well when I run out of the cutting edge. I Also experiment with some Foxfarm additives (Open sesame, beasty blooms, and Cha-ching), and the Humbolt's Own line (BushMaster, Gravity, Snow Storm Ultra, an PurpleMaxx). I know the PurpleMaxx may bring out some purple but I was wondering about any other tips, especially organic, that may help, cause I'm hoping for some outer space purple color...lol!
