If I top my plants at the end of the third week of 24/7 lighting, do I need to then keep them under 24/7 lighting longer after topping or can I move them to 12/12 lighting right away?
Why are you topping, What is your lighting set up situation. You will get small buds, no big main cola Are you going to mother these plants?
I have plenty of space so thats not a problem. I veg under florescent then I have 400 watt HPS for flowering. I just hear that topping gives bigger yeilds. Just wondering if it means you have to veg for 6 weeks instead of three, that kind of thing
Haven't made my mind up on whether topping's worth it or not. Maybe it's a myth, maybe I'm doing it wrong. That said, I'm going to give it another go this grow. Just let em veg another week or two after pruning. btw I got the set-up as yours. As soon as the plants are strong enough (three weeks old or 4" high), stick em under the HPS. You'll notice a real difference in the speed of growth. And set lights to 18/6. It saves money on electricity and is less stressful for the plants.
