Question about tent setup and more

    Hey there guys I had some questions and some things that I'd like to ask, pretty much first time grower here. Grown 1 time with just and LED years back and ran into a bunch of problems because of setup and not enough money. Used bad soul, closet grow etc. Now I have read more I have some questions. Recently I got some clones from a friend, strains are Dos Si Dos and GMO. I have 2 dos si dos and 1 GMO. When I got home I put them in some potd with some Happy Frog and wasn't prepared at all. Decided to buy a tent and light and whatever else I can figure I need. So far I have a small tent on the light 24x24x36. I plan on training these and keeping them smaller. I've also bought a Maxsisun 1200w LED and it puts out as advertised 270 actual power. I was wondering if this light will either be too much for a small tent or be too hot. I plan on testing the setup when I get it and I have ordered an exhaust fan as well just in case it runs hot. I've also got myself a water filter, pH meter and nutrients I am searching and looking for recommendations for a novice as I know I can go the next week with no nutes

    I assume heat is gonna be an issue with a tent that small but that light has the "veg" and "bloom" options so you could always run it at half power. I currently run a 150w LED in my 2x2 and it doesn't get hot, although my tent is 6 feet tall. Height could be the bigger issue.

    Did you get a speed controller with your fan? I highly recommend them. Without it your fan will be running at full speed and they can be loud.

    Hey @DaPhats ! Thanks for the reply. I actually switched over tent sizes and ordered another one with more head space 24x24x48 I figured that would just be overall better for light placement and as you mentioned heat. As for the fan it did not come with a speed controller but that sounds like a brilliant idea, is there anything you currently recommend?

    I can't really recommend anything. I know there are universal speed controllers but I've never tried one. The one I have came with the fan.
