Hey i plan on going to a hydro store tomorrow to pick up the light system, soil and nutrients for my first grow. Here's the thing i have gone to Grasscity for all my needs on growing and i am still confused on a few things. I read in grandpa's grow thread that you use different nutrients/soil for veg/flower state but i am using Auto flowering seeds so should i use single soil the whole grow this fox farm ocean forest looks great since its better for the flowering state of growing!? Now on to nutrients! i am aware that you use them in your water every other watering but which do i use a veg nutrient? or a flowering nutrient? i feel like both is what is needed to get the best yield. but i am confused since Auto flowering Seeds to my knowledge don't stay in a veg state very long but can be kept in The flowering State as long as the grower wants. Anyone with any Knowledge on what i need help on please help me out with some info!!! Anyway Thanks and Peace! Note: This is my first grow and i hate asking such Newbie questions but i want to do the best i can so i have a positive Outcome with my first experience growing!.
so its not a good idea to use that soil with the liq nutrients? i was going to mix the fox farm soil with some worm castings and perlite but im not even familar with growing in coco
I personally like using grow big, until you switch the light cycle to match the flowering stage, than i use Big bloom and Tiger bloom, and cha ching.
You should look up the fox farm nutes get the whole line up and follow the schedule get every thing it all works to gather you can find the feeding schedule on the ff site
Okay i guess im going to use grow big nutrients until it starts to flower then switch to big bloom? i just want to make sure thats right because i am scared of killing my first plants i did some research and it looks like not to feed them until there 3 weeks old or more the thing is auto flowers take around 70-80 days from seed to harvest if im correct so wouldnt it only get a week or two of veg nutrients before id have to switch to a flowering nutrient?
I would suggest Roots Organic instead of Ocean Forest, and 5 gal fabric pots. I'd also suggest using the wormcastings and a $8 bag of Espoma tomato-tone. Use 3 cups tomato tone per bag of soil and that should carry you through to harvest with zero problems. No bottled nutrients needed.
Everyone has their own style. You might only get a week out of the nutes, but thats more than using no nutes at all. I always go with fem seeds over auto seeds because they yield more.
Hey i think i might try your way would it be cheaper? and i also feel like almost i dont know scared to use bottled nutes because of all the threads of people killing there plants! i just checked out of your grow and you produced those buds with no bottled nutes? if so im def going to try what you suggested. thanks Also you mean this when you say root organics right?
Yea brother, I quit using bottled nutes a while ago and my plants have never been healthier. I'm glad you like them Yes, that's the soil I use
Awesome man you really gave me peace at mind! just found out they sell those bags at my local Hydro shop Score ! Ill be posting a Grow Journal Once the seeds come! Peace.
I'd rather use a compost tea cause it's way better but ff is easy and simple For beginners I think it's kinda hard to make it if you don't understand anything about growing
