Hey all just a quick question I was wondering if anyone knows if the Northern Lights strain prefers a lighter dose of nutes or heavier dose of nutes or just go with regular feeding? I am using fox farm grow big and then tiger and big bloom for flowering. I have just started my Northern lights & have 1 more week until I start nutes. It might not even matter but if anyone knows or has any experience with this strain, I'd appreciate the help, and feedback Thank you in advance!!
Start slow with the nutes. I'd use 1/4 to 1/3 the recommended amounts initially. I use the Fox Farm line-up as well and found even 2/3 of their recommended amounts resulted in some nute burn on my NL plants. My current grow I ramped it up slowly and am only now still doing 1/2 of what the feeding schedule says. I find it's better to have too little than too much when it comes to nutes. Watch your plants and keep an eye out for any deficiencies or burn and adjust accordingly, do not blindly follow the schedule. My current grow I'm responding to the plants and trying to embrace a LITFA approach, and it is working much better.
I woud say lower dosage I use flovanova's and i use about half strength you can check my feeding schedule on my sig I am currently growing NL from nirvana and you can see what potential it has I have lots of pics up there
i think he is asking about overall not the start, every1 knows you give less nutrients in beginning, some strains need heavy doses of nutrients some need avg some need light, i would say NL needs light to average.

Yes that's exactly what I meant, I'm going to start off with light dose and gradually increase to maybe about 1/2 strength the rest of the way through. But like you said yeah I was just wondering if they preferred light, med, or heavy doses as some strains do better with light or heavier feeding. Thanks again all!
