Hey all, my plant is about ready to harvest. I have the last week & 1/2 until harvest day 6th of December. I know not to give nutes fr last week. Isnit okay to Hit one more dose of 1/4th and just flush the rest of the time? Buds look almost ready, tricombs look milky to the naked eye. But no amber. Please advise
what is it with people and wanting to fertilize their crop? what's the appeal? i don't get it. what are you trying to achieve with more fertilization? no 1/4th is not ok. just use plain water.
If your only 1.5 weeks away then you can go ahead and start flushing. One more small shot of ferts isn't going to increase yield that much and the flushing will give the plants more time to get rid of the nutrients they have stored.
Before anyone can tell you when and how to flush your plants, it's necessary to know your grow method. If you're in soil, you want a good 10 days of flushing. If you're in hydro, you can flush in 3-4 days, but a week would be better. That said, you almost can't go wrong by waiting an extra week or two before harvesting your plants. As a matter of fact, things can only go better for you, unless you're fighting off serious problems (like mold or mildew). I would suggest flushing for at least a solid week prior to harvesting, and letting them go a little longer than you think. Patience is the most important virtue grower can have.
