Question about keeping bud for a month

a small air tight jar should do the trick fine

 

for a month, no you odn't need to put it in a dark area. The smaller the jar is the better (it just needs to be big enough to fit all the weed). If you put a bunch of weed in a small jar and its all packed in that shit will get crystally as all hell.

 

Yeah, I love stocking up my bud to store for a few weeks. All the resins ooze out and crystalize...yum<LICKS lips his>

 

put it in a air tight jar or whatever then get some orange peels, put a little bit of water on them to keep it more wet, then put that in the jar with it... it will keep the bud moist and it gives it a little orangeish taste..

 

I wouldnt recommend putting the oranges in unless it get dangerously dry. This depends on the bud. Sometimes orange peels can cause the bud to lose keif (kief?) if there is a lot on it already. Orange peels do work wonders on dry pot, however, but if its good already, no need to mess with it.

 

if u keep it in the freezer for too long it'll mold.........

the best place is in a air tight baggy, inside an' air tight jar..........if youre tryna save it for that long.............just make sure its not moist before u store it, cus if it is, it'll develop mold................

make sure the stash is in a cool room too, or else condensation will make it mold.................

oh, an' it might be a lil too dry when u finally get to that stash after a month.,........i suggest not to stash it for a whole fuckin month...........in my mind, thats a little dumb................

 

There is nothing wrong with stashing you bud for a month or any period of time. I dont see why there are so many conflicting views posted in this thread.

You wanna store your bud right. No matter what the reason theres a simple and easy ass way to go about it.

1.) Take a glass jar, prefferably just big enough to fit the bud, therefore less air to dry the hell out of it.

2.) Throw your bud in it and keep it in a dark spot. Dont keep it by the heater or a/c just keep it somewhere around room temp or whatever i dont find the temperature to be too big of a deal if its not in the extremes.

And if your bud is still moist and you do notice condensation on the jar. Open that shit up for a hour or so. Close that bitch back up and maybe open it every so often to ensure you dont encounter any mold problems. Simple and its not like your bud is in huge danger of molding.

Then once its not moist if it isnt already, leave the shit in the jar for however long you like. Doing so will cure the bud and possibly increase the potency. Simple shit ...

youre right on alotta that..........but not the last part.........

all the potency in the buds come from the curing process.....before theyre manicured...........after theyre manicured an' dryed, theres no way of increasin the potency.............if u think there is a way, give me a good answer................

 

And is that not the curing process? You manicure your buds before you dry them correct? Then you dry them up, throw them in a glass jar and this is called the curing process while the bud sits in a glass jar. Whats the difference between right after they are grown and dried, and when you buy the sack and cure them?

I may have some shit mixed up but i dont see any difference. And ive thrown perfectly smokable buds into a glass jar in the past and swear the shit dankified lol. If you could clear this up for me, i know i dont know everything.

but naw, u manicure after u cure it.........when u cure your bud, u gotta keep it in total darkness for two to even 4 weeks......after the batch is dried, then u go get the clippers an' manicure the buds...........

then theres that problem of storing it after its manicured an' shit........cus sometimes after bud goes thru the whole process, it'll still be a lil moist, so if u store it air tight in a jar after manicuring the bud, it'll grow mold.......

i guess you'd be alright after its dried out........but, by the time u get to smokin it, its so dry it breaks up to shake an' burns like hair........

 

Um... You should do a little more research before making such claims...

Manicuring after the weed is cut is usually preferred over doing it after it's already been dried. Notice I said *USUALLY* and now always... It can be done both ways, but most people prefer manicuring before drying. The leaves are bigger and easier to snip while wet. After this you can cure it for however long you want, really.

Put the buds in an airtight jar, in a dark place, near room temp (avoid extremes in heat or cold). Burp your jars every day or so for a little to let some fresh air in (this eliminates mould).

You can do this after you buy your buds in the bad if ya want and it'll likely add to the taste of the weed. Weed is like good wine or cheese - the flavor and quality only improves with age. The longer you cure, the better the weed tastes, the smoother the smoke, and the better the quality of the bud.

If the buds get a little dry put a piece of orange peel or lettuce in for a couple hours... Just be sure to keep an eye on the buds to make sure they don't get too moist.

 

What is the longest amount of time to keep weed around for, lets say in optimum conditions in a air tight jar in a dark cool place? Could it last for years theoretically? Thanks for lending an ear.

I've heard THC has a shelf life of around a year... But I dunno how accurate that is. I wouldn't be able to keep buds that long... Maybe a month or 2, but not a year, LOL.

 

I found a little over an eighth of bud that i had stashed in a can, with an air tight lid on it, and i guess lost it? I dont know how old it was, but i smoked it and it was harsh to hit, it burnt my throat but i still got ripped off of it.

 

Yeah... I've done that... 'Cept I found it in a box in my dresser drawer. Got me RIPPED, but it was harsh and dry as hell...

 

it's next to impossible for me to lose bud, when i have it its in my pocket or in my desk at all times.

 

tuperware is fine but so are mason jars...dont worry about a dark place just keep it cool and air tight and youll be fine..also dont continously open it up...if your storing it store it all and save like enough to last a week and keep that out ...meaning dont keep going into your mason jars for the weed...because they are used for long term, unused, bud storage
