Hey all im thinking of getting a HPS either 250w or 400W, my grow room at the moment is a closet 4ft high by 3.6 wide and the same deep, as hps produce alot of heat i was wondering about the venting issue unfortunatly all the walls are concrete and very hard to get through, also the heat factor and ways of controlling it apart from buying a air conditioner. all ideas welcome
If you bought a digital balast 400 watt unit, some have the option to run HPS and MH and also can run 250 watt bulbs with the flick of a switch. Options are better than no options. I think Galaxy is one company that sells this type of balast. The price difference is small to minimal between 400 w and 250 w. I would vent the exhaust of this closet through a 4" exhaust fan and 4 inch dryer hose out the window. In your closet, is there an attack above?
na there is no attic up above it, just a water tank which i cant get around hmm might have to stay with cfl
