Question about Hermies

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Tyrell, Dec 22, 2012.

  1. so my plants are about to start showing sex ( or should ) in the next couple weeks.. now of course the males will all be pulled.. but as far as Hermies go.. how do i keep them out of my garden ? do i need to chck each budsite to see if its a male ? should i cut that off to get rid of it or how would i deal with it ? any and all info is much appreciated..

  2. You shouldn't get hermaphrodites. Most plants needed stress to grow both organs.

Just keep an eye on your buds for pollen sacs especially if they get stressed.

  3. So its sress after they show sex ? It cant be triggered and lay dormant or something right ?

  4. can I just ask why you think your plants maybe be hermaphrodites?

having feminised genetics can produce hermaphrodites, and all kinds of stress can bring hidden hermaphrodite traits out. light leakage is usually the cause of most hermie problems if the plants aren't genetically predisposed already

  5. I didn't say I thought they were i just wanted to know how to check for and get rid of them..

    Smokin and Jokin

  6. Google it mate for some pics ! That's what i did and then you know what to look for on your plants, it worked for me :)

  7. WTF are you on about?

I never said that you said they were. I asked you why you think they MAY. and you clearly think they may be hermaphrodites otherwise you wouldn't be concerned about spotting them

  8. No I dont think they "may" either.. this is my first grow.. im trying to learn all I can.. I was just looking for so me information..Maybe some pics..
