Question About Growing

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by burnsclark, Mar 20, 2011.

  1. Was just wondering what the difference between a wide, shallow pot and a deep narrow pot were? for example, a big cup vs a baking pan. Thanks for any help in advance.

  2. If you are talking about germination with eventual transplanting, then I think we are talking user preference. I can't necessarily see any advantage/disadvantage to starting the grow.

  3. No I'm talking about just for growing a plant in general. Like will the shape of the vessel affect the size of the plant or how the plant grows.

  4. You can grow MJ in a variety of pot shapes and sizes, but if it's too shallow and wide (like a baking pan) that's too extreme, MJ roots definitely like to push downward.

  5. Thanks for the info. What about a breadpan though? would that be deep enough?

  6. lol just go get yourelf 5 gallon paint buckets for 2 dollars, and try and avoid bread pans.
You could get away with starting your seedlings in party cups.
