Question about growing?

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by Cannabuzz, Nov 21, 2010.

  1. Well I am pretty experienced with the smoking part but the growing part is something totally new to me.

Alright I am thinking about growing my plant in a 12 ounce disposable cup. I only got a 100 watt light bulb but its pretty bright if you ask me. I was thinking about putting my plant in a small confined area with aluminum around it and running my 100 watt light bulb 24/7. The reason I am doing this is because I live with my parents. So the question is..

Will a 100 watt bulb keep my plant alive if it is in a area with aluminum around it and the light is on 24/7?

    Thanks.

  2. This belongs in the "absolute beginners" section of the growing threads.

Well, first off: If you're just starting out, it's not going to be easy to grow a plant for it's entire lifetime in a party cup.
Secondly: You will need more light. "Brightness" is not a factor in plant growth. Lumen output and actual wattage are what matters.

I'd suggest going into the "absolute beginners" section and reading stickies. If you can't find what you're looking for (info-wise), try the search function.

Research is key to anything, my friend. Check out those stickies and read up, you'll be growing in no time. Good luck :smoke:
