Question About Drying..

  1. How do you guys dry your weed? Do you have your own enclosure made specifically for drying or do you just dry it where you grew it? I'm contempating making my own enclosure made just for drying. If any of you have made your own as well, can you please post pictures of it so I can get some ideas on mine? Thanks.

  2. I built a 2x2x4 growbox out of plywood a few years ago to supplement my larger grow, it's perfect for drying. I have prefilters on the intakes to keep out dust and a 4" fan/filter for odor and air exchange. I use a pvc pipe across the top and hangars for my branches, the rack on the bottom sits over the passive intakes, use that for trim and loose buds. Here it is in both drying and growing mode:

I'm getting to the point where I need something bigger, so I've been looking around for designs and found this: http://buymarijuanaseeds.com/community/threads/diy-drying-cabinet.147198/ ...love the self-contained dehumidifier but it's a bit much for my needs. Just throwing it out there for ideas.

I won a drying rack that my hydro shop raffled off but I don't have a good place to hang it (odor control is mandatory in my situation so it has to be behind a filter) so it's never been used:

Won't be able to dry in my 4x8 because I want to stagger my harvests, so it will be in constant use. I really prefer hanging over rack drying so I'll probably just end up getting a dedicated 2x4 tent for drying and say fuck the boxes.

IDK if any of that helped you, but cheers anyway!! :bongin:

  3. Wow, that drying cabinet that guy built was pretty epic, but I agree with it being a little much, especially for my growing purposes. That black hang drying tote thing looks more like my style, haha.

  4. I have a 1.5' x 4' x 4' cupboard for drying. It used to be an old grow box but it now been converted to a drying box. It's lined with black plastic, has two small vents at the back at the bottom corners, and a 4" fan set on very slow exhausting through a carbon filter. There are 8 lines strung out between hooks to hang the bud on and cardboard trays to dry trim and small buds to make hash with.

The pictures show it without the doors but normally it has 3 sliding doors on the front.
