Question about CFMs

    For a 4.7' x 4.7' x 6.5' grow tent do you think this fan would be a little overkill?

    Would it be a good idea to add on a basic fan speed controller when I order so I can lower the speed? I'm just not sure about this purchase because I realized a while ago that having a fan speed controller would do nothing to lower the RH in my tent which I might have found necessary for one strain that I want to grow that doesn't have a very good tolerance to humidity.

    I run over double the cubic feet through my tents. I have a 2x4x5 and 2x3x6 which is 40+36=76 cubic feet. An AC Infinity S4 is exhausting both tents 24/7 on 8/10 setting pulling around 18 watts. With my ducting losses and measured from the fans exhaust at the door, I am running about 160 cfm 24/7.

    You have almost 145 cu ft. The filter is rated at 304 cfm. If I were you, I would probably just open up my intake and run the shit at full power. It pulls a lot of wattage though.
