I am new to growing indoors and I'm just wondering a few small things. Would I be able to use say a 250Watt CFL in a normal light socket? I'm only going to have 2-3 plants at a time. I'm not planning on purchasing this but on Compact Fluorescent Grow Light - 150 watt - (eBay.ca item 190298051482 end time 01-May-09 14:07:22 EDT) Would I be able to buy that and just put it into a normal light socket? Thank you.
that one needs a mogul socket, medium sockets are the ones in normal light fixtures, but i think that listing says it includes a socket, ask him if he means socket adapter or what. anyways you can buy a medium to mogul socket adapter for like 5 bucks.
Look at the second and third pictures, it shows the socket it comes with, and judging by the cord and the size of the wall adaptor piece, that is the mogul socket or whatever, the big one. So it comes with something to plug it into, but it doesn't look like you could plug it into your own socket.
