Question About Bong Part.

    I recently bought a bong you can put water in. I noticed that compared to bongs i have seen mine seems to have a downstem built right in or something. I'm trying to figure out the name if its even a downstem. So i have my bowl with a stem and when i put that in my bong there is another downstem. So basically my downstem with the bowl goes into another looking downstem the reaches the water because my bowl is to short to reach the water. Whats the called, a downstem as well considering its inside the bong.

    I think you have a rubber grommet piece.  Either that or a china GonG piece.  Since it doesn't work the way you bought it I assume its china.  Pics and the blades can point you in the right direction.
    Standard 'rubber grommet piece'  Is your bowl/downstem like this?  Sorry I know its hard to see, cba to take pics atm.

    my bong is exactly the same like these. I purchased it from this exact shop and was able to find what mines looks like since my phone is dead atm. But yeah as you can see the downstem doesn't reach all the way so there is another downstem that is already attached and goes further down.

    well the pic you posted...you can remove the downstem just wiggle and twist it will come out easily.  Not sure what your issue is/what you are asking.  You can buy different downstems to work better with you piece.(there are 2 common sizes imo)  not sure what the measurements are...reread your post.
     
    I call it a downstem, but its not a glass on glass(GonG) downstem.  Its a rubber grommet/ slide style piece, not really sure on the terminology.  Sorry likely just confused you even more. :smoke:

    Oh okay well yeah the part underneath the rubber broke so i can remove the rubber and buy a new downstem? I'm not sure what size it is but i'll just take it to where i bought it to find a fitting downstem.
