Question About AB 2279

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Jimbozu, Sep 3, 2008.

  1. I am currently attending a College in the state of California which has policy to completely disregard medical use of marijuana and treats the possession of medical marijuana as a crime. I'm wondering if the newly passed employment non-discrimination act (AB 2289) has any effect on a private institution.

    Thanks for any advice.

  2. if it's a private institution, they can have any rules they want (for the most part.) it would be more than likely that even if AB 2279 did get signed in by arnold, i dont think it can stop a private institution for kicking you out for weed.... from what i understand the bill only talked about employment and off-the-job medicinal pot use.

  3. You school can still dump ya. AB 2279 is for workforce situations not schools, to my knowledge.
