Quantum par meter question

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Alnilam Ecrota, May 3, 2020.

  1. As far as quantum par meters go i know theyre not cheap. I see hydrofarm has them and i read the reviews and theyre dog shit quality for 165 dollars.
The question i have is are there decent par meters out there other than apogee instruments? Apogee are hands down the best and Bruce Bugby is the man but im trying to save a few bucks if possible. If youve tried a few and theyre all shit let ne know, if you found one thats decent let me know. Do i need to just break down and spend the little couple hundred dollars more for the Apogee, let me know what you think. If youre coming to tell me i dont need one or some other off topic bullshit then dont bother. I cant stand posting on a forum to get a response from a no nothing dickhead who just wants to feel involved. Im looking for info on par meters that work not your opinion on if i need one or not.

  2. you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar

  3. Congrats on being involved with that super catchy old saying. You know what works better than honey? A big pile of shit. Since we're just talking to talk did you know in mario brothers you can use a warp pipe and beat the game really fast? Its pretty crazy.

  4. Holly shit, no way!!! Please teach me master. Lol

  5. On the real, par meters are expensive, there just isn't away around that. The reason most don't use them is because of that, and experience tells us if our lights are performing. My very unprofessional advice would be to experiment with your current setup. Don't waste money for shit you could learn for free. But if you have cash to burn go ahead. Wish you the best!!!

  6. I’ve heard a bit about them. The hydro farms. I hear it’s inaccurate. I checked out a test video. Seems to get within 100 ”par” of the apogee. Conclusion, its not very accurate, but it’s accurate enough lol

  7. I'm an actual Nintendo baby. Hit both warps zones and get to Bowser pretty quickly :) 7, 3 and 8, 3 were always tough and never could defeat 8 4

You could also jump on a turtle's head and get a bunch of lives in 2, 3 if I remember correct

Mario Bros III was really good. The second one was odd but that's because it wasn't Mario originally.

Metroid, Contra, Double Dragon II, III, Zelda, 1942, RC Pro AM, Excitebike, Punchout, Rygar

  8. why do need a par meter ?
You would only need one to compare one light with another.
I use a Dr Meter from amazon to measure lumens( 20,000 to 30, 000 for young plants, 60,00 or so for flowering) to help set the height of the light above the plants, it's good because it has the sensor on a long lead and you can hold it right at the canopy.

  9. Yeah mario 2 was actually dokey dokey panic but it was adapted for mario and yeah if you can get a turtle near a wall you can line it up where you jump on the turtle once and put the controller down if youre at the right distance and marios bounce is just high enough to give the shell time to hit the wall and bounce back for mario to land on it again and you can legit bounce like this until you ha e max lives lolol i love Nintendo. Im an 80s baby haha.

  10. I'm thinking he may be confused as well. Yes par is important but Lux readings will be much more helpful in not causing light stress.
